Prof. Raja Shekhar Bellamkonda is a distinguished academic leader, accomplished researcher, Senior Professor, and university administrator whose career reflects an exceptional commitment to higher education, institutional development, multidisciplinary learning, and student advancement. He currently serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.
Prof. Shekhar’s academic journey is remarkable for its breadth and depth. He holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, MBA in Marketing, M.Sc. in Psychology, M.A. in Education, and M.Tech. in Data Science and Engineering, besides two postgraduate diplomas in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and Computer Science. Significantly, he has earned three Ph.D. degrees in Management, Psychology, and Education, reflecting his enduring pursuit of knowledge across disciplines.
Prior to joining Yogi Vemana University, Prof. Shekhar served as a Senior Professor at the University of Hyderabad. During his distinguished career there, he held several key academic and administrative leadership positions, including Pro Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean of the School of Management Studies, Dean of Students’ Welfare, Director of IQAC, Head of Education and Education Technology, Professor-in-Charge of Engineering Works, and Chief Warden.
An active scholar and mentor, Prof. Shekhar has supervised 24 Ph.D. scholars and contributed to research in service quality, higher education quality, consumer studies, text mining, data analytics, and artificial intelligence applications. His academic initiatives include launching MBA programmes in Business Analytics at both the University of Hyderabad and Yogi Vemana University, as well as developing SWAYAM MOOCs under ARPIT.
